About Us

Our Story

With the unhoused population growing rapidly and hunger becoming more commonplace, we aim to answer the age-old question: What Would Jesus Do?

The biggest example of this is the only miracle recorded in all 4 gospels (Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:31-44, Luke 9:12-17, and John 6:1-14). Jesus feeds 5,000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. The greatest part of this story is that in the end, there are leftovers. Nobody went hungry.

There are countless other places in the Bible that talk about feeding and caring for the poor.

Our guiding scripture is taken from Paul's letter to James.

James 2:15-16: If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?

The co-text is talking about faith and works, but these two verses sum up our work quite well.

We aim to provide food first and foremost through a mobile soup kitchen. It will run like a food truck, but without charging people. We won't ask questions, because it's none of our business why someone needs a meal. It's just our job to feed the hungry.

In addition to providing hot meals to those in need, we will also have resources for addiction recovery, mental health, county and state resources, and information for local shelters.

As we gain momentum, we will add resources for clothing, jobs, and any other helpful things we can think of.
